Dark Passage tonight on 2SER This week: Rock out to Faith and the Muse. Stomp out to Neotek. Creep out to Plastique Noir. Burn out to Akanoid. Nod out to Ice Ages. It's anthemic, it's sweeping, it's got a slight European accent and a strange fascination with 70s movie trailers and a nice line in black PVC pants, it's DARK PASSAGE! Darkening the airwaves every week on 2SER; tune in and get some late night blackness into you... Playlist for week 47: http://www.2ser.com/programs/shows/dark-passagePodcasts of recent editions: http://djcernunnos.podomatic.com/This week's show will be posted for download by Friday afternoon. Cleanfeed I have a great deal of respect for Getup!, but this is one of those things where I think more direct action is needed: Sen. Stephen ConroyParliamentary office Suite MG70 Parliament House Canberra ACT 2600 Tel: 02 6277 7480 Fax: 02 6273 4154 Ministerial office Level 4, 4 Treasury Place Melbourne Vic 3002 Tel: 03 9650 1188 Fax: 03 9650 3251 Electorate office Suite 1B 494 High St Epping Vic 3076 Tel: 03 9408 0190 Fax: 03 9408 0194 email: minister@dbcde.gov.au If you have access to a fax machine, I suggest faxing or emailing a protest letter to all three offices. Cost you a buck or two at most. Given the poor understanding the minister seems to have for the technology within his portfolio, I suspect old fashioned paper will have a larger impact. Me, I'm buying a book of stamps and getting onto it. |

Me, I'm buying a book of stamps and getting onto it. Secret filtering of our internet content, devised by some collection of old white men in some corner of Canberra is not acceptable. This community includes fetishists, shippers, wiccans, satanists and other students of the very sort of ephemera that is very likely to wind up on this little blacklist. I'd strongly suggest that everyone at least take the two minutes out of their day to rip off an email to Conroy letting him know just exactly how ridiculous this is. |

Sunday Mystery Theatre pres. SCROOGE (1935) Xmas Special Sun Dec 20 Scrooge is a 1935 film directed by Henry Edwards featuring Seymour Hicks as Ebenezer Scrooge, the miser who hates Christmas. It was the first sound version of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. The 1935 film differs from all other versions of the story in one significant way - most of the ghosts, including that of Jacob Marley, are not actually shown onscreen, although their voices are heard. Only the Ghost of Christmas Present (Oscar Asche) is actually seen in full figure - the Ghost of Christmas Past is a mere shape with no discernible facial features, Marley's Ghost is seen only briefly as a face on the door knocker, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is just an outstretched pointing finger. Sunday Dec 207 for 7.30pm on THE BIG SCREEN!
